Our First Post of the New Year 2011

to you all.

We hope you all had a fabulous

Our update of what we have been doing and are working on now.

  • Therapy Dog Service: As most of you probably know the Holiday Season is one our busiest times of the year. The past couple of months -- November through December -- we sure worked hard making sure we put BIG SMILES on our clients/patients faces by dressing up in some holiday outfits. Even though at times our faces my have looked like we were discussed -- we sure had fun when we seen how everyone reacted. We are some of the biggest HAM BONES you will ever find.

  • Adding Team Members:  Mom has been very busy this past year to help other teams get registered with the Delta Pet Partner Program in our area.  Which lead to the formation of DeBoy's Therapy Animal Group -- which will go by DeBoy's T.A.G. Team as new teams complete their training, evaluations and registrations.  Which we are very excited to announce our 1st Delta Pet Partner Workshop is being conducted this week and next.

  • Our Play Time:  With being therapy dogs and working on a weekly basis, mom has us doing lots of different things to keep us fit, less stressed and having the opportunity to be just plan DOGS.  Although we absolutely LOVE our work, we must play; so our play time consist of agility, fly ball, trick & challenge training, swimming, hiking, walking with friends and just cuddling up to dad at night after spending the whole day with mom.

  • Mom's Blogging Goal:  Mom has decided to get herself organized.  LOL  She is using the month of January to get a good standardize simple plan in place for posting.  If anyone out there can help her with this idea, please do.  Well here is what she is thinking
  • Blog Post Themes (some we are doing now, but need to be                 more consistent)
Monday's:  Manic Mondays (we wish it were Sunday) -- devoted to our preparation for our therapy visits: which in tale revolves around our weekly baths.  These post will most likely be just photo's, hoping they speak for themselves.

Tuesday's:  Therapy Days -- devoted to what we encountered during our Monday visits to the hospital (Dixie Regional Medical Center) and Tuesday visits to Cliff View Senior Living Center.  Hopefully we will be able to capture some video/photos of us with the patients.

Wednesday's:  Wordless Wednesday -- this one we love to participate in for we love seeing all of your photo post that speak a thousand words all by themselves.  PRICELESS!

Thursday's:  This day maybe a mixture of Tricks and Training Challenges -- Ricky please forgive us for not be a very good participant lately, we love your ideas and you all are an inspiration to us.  Thank you for letting us be a part of your day.

Friday's:  Not sure what to call this day.  Maybe we will use this day to post about things of the past.  Hmmm

Saturday's and Sunday's:  Posting will be very limited these two days -- for this is our time to spend with DAD!

So, with this all said, mom is on her way of completing one of her NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS -- making her/our blog post simpler and by February we should be posting consistently.

Wish us luck and happy blogging to you all.

  1. It is so great to hear about all the good work you're doing with the boys! We didn't have much time to go on visits during the holidays so we are excited to get started back up again this year! We only go every other week and wish we had more time to make visits but we are glad we're able to make the ones we do because it is so rewarding for both of us! Keep up the good work!

  2. Elyse and Riley -- As you already know every visit you can make is worth more than anything. You keep up your great work also.

  3. We are glad you are back. Sounds like Mom has a plan, we thinks our mom needs to follow her advice. We think you should do a Freaky Friday post. :) The HoundDogs

  4. What a great is nice to have a systematic way of posting. I'm looking forward to all the days.

Oreo says, "You guys get a bath every week? I'd call DPS (dog protective services) and file an abuse report! Misty and I have done our best pitiful faces in the tub. Now we are lucky if we get a bath once a season! Our mom is such a sucker for our sad, pathetic faces. Hee, hee."

  5. Sound like a great plan. Happy New Year!

  6. What a wonderful plan for year 2011! Two of you are terrific therapy dogs and I am sure you two have brightened up so many people's life, keep the good work. I am also glad that you have a lot of dog activities which you both can just play and play and play and be just plain dogs!!!
Happy New Year to you both and your mom!!!

  7. Welcome back, we have missed you lately. Sounds like a great plan and do you really hafta get baths every week?? I would HATE that part. YOu two are so cute, that I bet you get a TON of smiles!!

  8. Happy New Year and nice to hear about what you guys have been up to! Your blogging plan sounds great but I would never be able to keep up - we are definitely not every day bloggers! LOL!

  9. Wow - what a lot of work you are all doing! I think it's great to map out a blog plan, although I've never done it hee hee! You doggies are making so many people happy - how very cool that you got dressed up in costumes for the holidays - I know that made so many happy! And to you all: Happy New Year!
    Sammie and Avalon

  10. Sounds like a great plan. I always think that I'll blog more, but then I don't. LOL I'm really hit and miss about it.

  11. You guys are ambitious! I'd love to talk to you about your therapy work, I want to be a therapy dog at the Hospice Center by my house. I like to make people smile, give good hugs and am an incredible listener, if I say so myself.

Happy I found your blog, you guys are cute!

(using my mother's computer which is more than embarrassing at my age)

  12. Your collies are so cute and beautiful looking. You guys are doing a great job in planning and organizing ever. Your dogs look so loveable.

  13. Hound Dog Mom -- Freaky Friday is a good one, will have to use it when we have some Freaky Happenings. Mom has even came up with other posting themes for Friday like -- Forget Me Not's (to post things of the past), Friends A-FUR (to Feature some of our friends), and Funny FUR-ally's (posting about funny mishaps). Now that MOM has a plan lets see if she can follow through. LOL

Oreo, Samantha & Jazzi -- Yes, we have to have a BATH every week for the rule is that we have to be bathed within 24 hours of our visits. Really its worth it in the long run so we can snuggle on the beds/furniture with our clients. It's nice that the Holiday's are over and we can go with just our vest...our booties we ware from the house to the inside of the hospital, because when we walk in the parking lots we tend to drag our paws which makes our white paws BLACK yuck.

Abbey Jenkins & Cheddar -- We would love for you to talk to our mom (Patti), email us your contact information to our email

    Happy Blogging
    -- Brutus and Tytus

Ricky & Marie -- Well, mom has a plan and is hoping it at least helps us to become more consistent at blogging, rather than the whenever/whatever approach. Wish us luck.
